Recreation

Students can enjoy some of the
10,000 Minnesota lakes
in between practice
sessions and concerts.

During the festival students and parents will stay at Giants Ridge Golf & Ski Resort, northeastern Minnesota's premier vacation destination. Nestled among the pines of the Superior National Forest, you are surrounded by lakes, streams, woodlands and hundreds of miles of trails an ideal setting for campers of all ages.

From mountain biking to quiet strolls through the woods, there's plenty to see and lots to do. Students have access to a wide variety of activities including Swimming, Mountain Biking, Fishing, Canoeing, Hiking, Kayaking, Nature Walks, Golf Boating, Basketball, Volleyball and MUCH MORE!

Plus, with proximity to attractions like the Soudan Underground Mine, and the International Wolf Center in Ely, the location of the Giants Ridge Sports Dorm opens the door for more fun and educational day trips.

The Fourth of July is a big event in
our small Iron Range town--

you'll be riding the Minnesota Power/Northern Lights float down Main Street, enjoying the festivities and performing in the 4th of July Concert, the closing event of the Festive Fourth.
